A new graduation class of International Stomatology Program

A new class of stomatologists - American citizens residing in the state of California, USA - completed their postgraduate studies under the International Dental Program at the Faculty of Stomatology, Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova.
The 38 graduates of the secondary clinical studies received their certificates during a ceremony held on December 14 in the Senate Hall.
The Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Stomatology Dragos Cucu sent a congratulatory message to the recent graduates, noting that, despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine, the young people overcame the difficulties and were able to study: "The teachers involved in the program worked with dedication and enthusiasm, in order to succeed in transmitting a large volume of knowledge and skills to their foreign disciples in a short period of time". The vice-dean encouraged the dentists to show ethics, empathy and respect towards the patient as in this way they will show their gratitude for the joint efforts of the university professors and staff. Finally, Dragoș Cucu urged them not to forget that Nicolae Testemitsnu University represented an important step in fulfilling their dream of practicing stomatology in the state of California, mentioning that their professional activity in the USA will be the main test for the training obtained in the Republic of Moldova.
Vishavtej Singh Grewal spoke on behalf of the graduates and thanked the Faculty of Stomatology for their dedication and consistent support in developing dental skills.
Yash K. Barringa expressed his gratitude and pride in benefiting from the opportunity to study at Nicolae Testemitanu University where he lived special experiences and created amazing memories, which really marked his life. The young doctor emphasized that he was also impressed by the culture of our country, promising to return here on vacation with his entire family.
Finally, as a sign of respect and deep gratitude, the graduates handed out diplomas of appreciation to the teachers who guided them during their studies.
The International Stomatology Program (IDP) involves two years of full-time studies - 7 hours per day, 17 weeks per semester - and upon completion, the doctors obtain a certificate of postgraduate studies in Stomatology through secondary clinical coursers. Further, IDP graduates will pass an exam in California without any need for course differences recognition.
